I just checked in and noticed that WordPress is apparently putting ads of their own on free users now. Just wanted you to know that this site isn’t currently monetized and the ads don’t come from us. Sorry about that.

Progress Update 2
It’s been a while, huh? I don’t really have time for a detailed description of where I’ve been or what’s taking so long, but I just wanted to say for anyone who’s checking that the album is still in the works. 9 of 10 songs are essentially done aside from some relatively minor tweaks. The last will need some work, but not too much.
Some decisions have yet to be made, but at this point, I’m just waiting until I’m satisfied with all 10 songs. I don’t want to try to put a time frame on it and be wrong.

Progress Update 1
Blogs are for updates, right? For anyone who might be interested, I wanted to give an update on where we are.
Four songs have been mixed. There will undeniably be minor changes later on, as I’m doing this all myself, but I think they are near their final form.
Kristen just did a great recording session on four more songs. I’ll be editing the vocals and mixing as quickly as I can.
Beyond that, two songs are in the process of being arranged and one is in the process of being written and arranged, more or less at the same time. As much as I want to power through all of that, mixing the others will likely take priority for a while. I’ve made enough progress already, though, that I’m hoping this process won’t take forever and I can work on it as the mood strikes me or when I have a free weekend to get through a lot at once. My motivation level has reached its peak! This is happening.
If you’re counting, that makes an album of 11 songs, unless we drop one at the last minute. My plan is to share at least a song or two online well before the album is ready for release, so stay tuned, and as always, thanks for your support!

I’m excited to announce that Kristen Leake has joined the band as a singer. We’re planning to record some vocals in the near future and hopefully have some more frequent updates. Lots of music is in the works, so stay tuned. Be sure to follow us on Twitter @LOOband.
This makes Lightning Over Oceans a duo: Caius Roth and Kristen Leake.
